CEO: Rosneft plans to raise hydrocarbon output by 5% in 2023
BENGALURU, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft plans to raise its hydrocarbon production by 5% in 2023, CEO Igor Sechin told reporters on Monday on the sidelines of the India Energy Week forum.
“We plan growth. We grew by 3% in 2022, while this year, it will be higher, it will amount to about 5%,” Sechin said.
Rosneft’s hydrocarbon output grew by 2.2% on the year to 4.97 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in the first nine months of 2022.
Sechin also said that oil and gas project Sakhalin-1 operates as usual and without delays.
“Production is going on, and sales are going on,” he said.
He said that growth of long-term deliveries of oil to India’s Nayara oil refinery, in which Rosneft owns 49.13%, depends on the refinery’s efficiency. Rosneft plans to load the refinery to the maximum possible point, and deliver the necessary amount of oil to the plant, Sechin said.
